Try this workflow
Enable Cloud index sync after connecting your account and let the first sync finish. Remote search can then find indexed media across your devices, with folder names and file locations. Subsequent sync transfers changes, not a fresh copy of every file.

The index stores metadata and embeddings, not a media backup. Offline results reflect the last sync. Optional remote previews separately require an online owner and Remote media access enabled; it is off by default.
